How it works
How it works
Yearly pay is the hourly rate times hours per week times paid weeks per year. Going the other way, the hourly rate is yearly pay divided by those same hours. Change the hours and weeks to match your job: use fewer paid weeks if you don't get paid time off. The amounts are before taxes and other deductions.
FAQ
About the calculator
How do you turn an hourly wage into a salary?
Multiply the hourly rate by the hours you work each week, then by the number of paid weeks in the year. At 40 hours and 52 weeks, $25 an hour is $52,000 a year.
Is this before or after taxes?
Before. These are gross amounts. Taxes, insurance and retirement contributions come out of them.
Should I count unpaid time off?
If you aren't paid for vacation or holidays, lower the paid weeks to match. Paid time off counts as paid weeks.
Is anything saved?
No. The math runs in your browser.
