Remote Bookkeeper Contractor Jobs in Florida
MCC Solutions takes on experienced bookkeepers as remote independent contractors. If you work from Florida, you can apply here.
How it works
Bookkeeping work from Florida
Contractors keep small business books current each month: categorizing, reconciling accounts and producing reports in QuickBooks Online, Xero or the client's own software. We are a young firm and take a limited number of contractors, so we do not promise a volume of work. We do not have an office in Florida, and the work is done online. The larger cities in Florida that our pages cover include Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa.
If you live near Jacksonville or elsewhere in Florida, you can work from home; tourism, hospitality, agriculture, real estate and transportation are among the sectors in the state.
What you need
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero or similar software
- Comfort with monthly reconciliations and clear client communication
- A computer, a reliable internet connection and a private place to work
- Willingness to keep client information confidential
- A W-9 and a signed independent contractor agreement
- Familiarity with Florida filings is a plus, not a requirement
What it pays
Pay and terms
Rates are discussed on a short call and confirmed in writing before you take on any client. We do not have a posted rate. This is independent contractor work with a 1099 at year end, and you choose what you accept.
This page is not legal advice. Honest note: we are a young company, and we keep the team small so the contractors who join early get the work as it grows.
FAQ
Florida bookkeeper contractor questions
Do I need a certification?
No. Experience matters most. A QuickBooks ProAdvisor or similar credential is welcome but not required.
What Florida filings come up?
The Florida Department of Revenue lists a 6% general state sales tax rate. Returns are filed for every reporting period, even when no tax is due, and are late after the 20th of the month following the period. We confirm your own filing frequency on your Department of Revenue account. Familiarity helps, and we confirm the details for each client.
Is there work right now?
That depends on client demand, and we do not promise it.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. We never charge to apply or to join.
