Remote Bookkeeper Contractor Jobs in Delaware

Bookkeepers in Delaware can apply to work remotely as independent contractors with MCC Solutions.

How it works

Bookkeeping work from Delaware

Each client engagement is a monthly routine of categorizing, reconciling and reporting, done in QuickBooks Online, Xero or whatever the client already uses. We are a young firm and take a limited number of contractors, so we do not promise a volume of work. We do not have an office in Delaware, and the work is done online. The larger cities in Delaware that our pages cover include Wilmington.

If you live near Wilmington (70,635 in the 2020 census) or elsewhere in Delaware, you can work from home; government, education, banking, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, healthcare, poultry farming in Sussex County, and retail are among the sectors in the state.

What you need

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero or similar software
  • Comfort with monthly reconciliations and clear client communication
  • A computer, a reliable internet connection and a private place to work
  • Willingness to keep client information confidential
  • A W-9 and a signed independent contractor agreement
  • Familiarity with Delaware filings is a plus, not a requirement

What it pays

Pay and terms

Rates are discussed on a short call and confirmed in writing before you take on any client. We do not have a posted rate. This is independent contractor work with a 1099 at year end, and you choose what you accept.

This page is not legal advice. Honest note: we are a young company, and we keep the team small so the contractors who join early get the work as it grows.

FAQ

Delaware bookkeeper contractor questions

Do I need a certification?

Not required. We look for real hands-on experience, and credentials such as QuickBooks ProAdvisor are a plus.

What Delaware filings come up?

Delaware does not impose a state or local sales tax. It charges a gross receipts tax on sellers of goods and providers of services, at rates from 0.0945% to 1.9914% depending on business activity, filed monthly or quarterly. Familiarity helps, and we confirm the details for each client.

Is there work right now?

That depends on client demand, and we do not promise it.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing. We never charge to apply or to join.
